Steven Dimech started his apprentiship as a motor mechanic at the age of 15 in 1991.Was fully qualified at the age of 19,then went on to work as a rotary motor mechanic for the next 12 years.

In this time has gained extensive experience in building hundreds of rotary engines.

In March 2008, together with wife Sylvia, started a rotary performance workshop creating ‘SDR MOTORSPORT’, which specialises in all fabrication done in house.

Steve has a passion for old school mazda’s and drag racing. He has many years experience preparing, racing and advising racers on drag strip over the years. In our first year of business we have produced a lot of cars seen down western sydney international dragway, showing up on a regular basis you will see Steve down on the drag strip supporting his customers aiming high to achieve their dreams of running fast times down the quarter mile.

All tuning is done by Unigroup Engineering, in early 2012 SDR MOTORSPORT aims to have our own dyno facilities on the premises.
